Exercise Edition 🧘🏻♀️🏞
Studies have shown time and time again how much exercise impacts our health, not only physical but mental as well. Consistent exercise helps reduce stress, improves cardiovascular health, helps with depression and anxiety, increases energy, improves sleep, sharpens memory and cognition, and just helps boost your overall mood. THANK YOU ENDORPHINS! ✨
Finding the time, energy, and money to maintain those gym subscriptions can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re tight on money, but IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE! I’ve put together this graphic with exercise ideas/accounts I’ve personally tried.
Yoga with Adriene makes it so fun and easy to do yoga. She talks you through the poses and gives alternatives for beginners and more advanced users alike. Her videos last anywhere from 5 minutes to full length 60 minute sessions. I love her 5-Minute Morning Yoga video the most. It’s the perfect morning “waker-upper,” and it genuinely changes my mood and sets a positive tone for my day. I liked to use Heather Robertson’s YouTube videos when I first started exercising because of her low impact exercise and her warm-up videos. After doing her videos for a while, I decided to join Orangetheory. I loved my studio, my coaches, and the members and their positive energy, but it was pretty expensive (over $100 per month for unlimited number of classes). I paid it because I enjoyed it. Eventually COVID hit and the studios were forced to close. OTF came out with Orangetheory At-Home Workouts, and the exercises were identical to the ones we did in studio except they were modified for those who didn’t have home equipment. Doing those outside was fantastic.
I hope these help you and give you the same boost it gave me. You can opt to download the sheet too. The file is in PDF format and the accounts are hyperlinked so you can just click on it and be directed to their sites. It is completely free, you won’t be asked for any personal information, nor will you be subscribed to anything.
Side note: These are in no way sponsored nor do I get anything out of recommending any of the accounts. They have just genuinely given this nurse a boost!
